NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 25, 2013) - A PENSRUS PENS, in its continuous philanthropic efforts, is proud to, once again, join up with the AMC Music Festival of Staten Island, NY, an annual event designed to raise awareness and funding for Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC).
Slated for June 1, 2013, Valerie Pepe, Founder of the Festival and herself an individual affected by AMC, is excited to announce that the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA will benefit greatly from the fundraising efforts brought forth by the AMC Music Festival in conjunction with PENSRUS PENS of Staten Island, NY.

Of the promotional products company PENRUS PENS, and their generous contributions over the years, Pepe has said, "I believe that in collaboration with PENSRUS, the goal to reach $10,000 is attainable. Featuring a fun afternoon of live music, event attendees will be entertained by some of New York's most popular local music artists. All proceeds from the benefit will go to Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA with a significant portion allotted to AMCSI (AMCSupport.org). The event will take place on June 1, 2013 at Killmeyers Old Bavaria Inn. Doors open at 3pm, and the admission fee of $25 includes a goody bag along with a full afternoon of fun and live music. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.
ARTHROGRYPOSIS MULTIPLEX CONGENITA (AMC) describes the manifestation of multiple congenital contractures of the bones that can include fibrosis and muscle weakness. The majority of children born with AMC survive, though some are adversely affected by respiratory muscle conditions. Those affected by AMC generally require surgical intervention and therapy. Depending on the severity of the condition, individuals often have normal cognition and speech.
